100 Word Challenge

I was reading a book one day when suddenly I saw ... me dancing on top of a cloud in unicorn land. But I was a bit puzzled because I was reading 'Dancing in Unicorn Land.'   I looked down, flowers and the horns of the unicorns shining bright like small diamonds. I wished that I could stay but I had to go back but I did not know how to. It looked like I was staying here. I was a bit happy with the result but how did I get here from that book. Was it magical?

Term 1 Week 7

Have you ever wondered how many words you write in your story?  Well I was set a challenge that you can only use 100 words. Pretty hard but I got quit involved once I finished 20 words.  I enjoyed it so much and the reality is we are doing it every week.  Life really is a  is a miracle.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 

My Pepeha

I worked really hard on my pepeha art.  I found it really hard for my hands to keep coloring consistently. It was also hard to to think of my interests. My favorite part of my art was that I used lots of colors and made it stand out.

Place Value

My Reflection

I am very good at Place Value but when I saw this task I was a bit curious of what I was doing.  But when I did it,it wasn't hard at all.  My next step is to use my place value skills to salve bigger numbers.

Term 1 Week 6

Four weeks ago room 28/29 we made African praise poem. Just yesterday Mrs Melville printed and laminated them. Now we use them as place mats so we do not need to use news paper and now read the news paper.

Term 1 Week 5

Last week on Friday the year 4's and me went to Te Tuhi. We did an activity called the Stories of the Pacific. We made tapa cloth and saw other tapa from other countries.

Lantern Festival

Last week in class we talked about Chinese New Year.  We read a story about 12 animals who competed in a race across the river. The first 12 across the river will be named after that year. This year is the year of the sheep.

I went to the Lantern Festival with my family.  The Lantern Festival is part of the the chines new year. I saw the dragon dance. There are two men who lift each other up to make the dragon.
